Because of the system, logging in to Steam Rocket League creates an automatic epic games account. To be able to link it to your own epic games account you have to:

1. Open the Epic Games launcher and create a new account via the Steam account

2. Complete the registration

3. Unlink the Steam account from the Epic Games account you have just created.

4. Link the account to your own Epic Games 

If you do not do this you cannot link the account to your Epic Games!
